          Whitney Sweetwine is a singer-songwriter, rapper, producer, and creative from Southeast Washington, D.C. During her undergraduate studies at Howard University, she hosted local open mics throughout DMV while pursuing a modeling and music career of her own before graduating in 2016.

     She remained steadfast,  landing opportunities to perform on national platforms such as TED Talk's TED X U Street Women and WUSA Channel 9. She has also been featured on DC's Top radio stations like 93.9 WKYS, WPGC 95.5, and 96.3 WHUR. One of her most memorable accomplishments was being awarded the Hilton Hotel Rockstar Award, where she earned an all expense paid trip to the 2019 Grammy Awards for creating an original song and music video entitled "Make It Right".

 

        Whitney continues to push boundaries and strives to represent for female artists in male-dominated music spaces. Her influences are Beyonce, Rihanna, Teyana Taylor, Missy Elliot, Lil Wayne, Isley Brothers and Minnie Ripperton.
